Which type of wax do I need? |
- The Regular Synthetic Wax is an excellent cold powder wax and works well in all but the warmest slushy conditions.
- The Red Dot Synthetic Wax is our fastest wax and is similar to the Regular Synthetic Wax, but contains Fluoro (a lubricant). This is what we ride.
- The Blue Industrial Wax is recommended for mid to warm Tahoe conditions. Several of our customers have told us that this is the best spring wax ever created.
See Technical Info for more information. |
Papa Woody Synthetic Wax is an all temperature wax, which means you can use it on the cold powder days and the warm spring days. It is similar to petroleum-based paraffins in crystal structure, but since it is synthetic it is much harder and more durable.
This means it will last longer than your typical wax. We usually get 6 - 8 days out of one wax job with this wax in mid-winter and 4 - 5 days with it in spring when conditions are icy in the morning and sloppy slush in the afternoon.
Compared to the regular petroleum-based waxes available at your local ski/snowboard shop that only last for one day of hard riding or skiing (if you're lucky), our synthetic waxes are the goods.
